Update: diamond wheel, manual filters and more 💜

We called this update "Wheel of Fortune & Manual Filters." The name sums it up pretty well: a little daily fun, and more control for those who want it.

The diamond wheel

Every day, a wheel appears on your home screen. You spin it, and you win diamonds.

You can win anywhere from 0 to 10 diamonds depending on where the wheel lands. One spin per day, like a small morning ritual.

It's easy, it's quick, and it gives you a good reason to come back to the app every day even on the days when you're not in the mood to scroll for hours.

Two ways to discover new people

This is probably the most significant change in this update.

The filter panel now offers two distinct modes:

Adèle mode: the AI handles suggestions. It can show you profiles you might not have thought of yourself, but that could turn out to be a great match. This is the mode for those who trust a bit of intelligent serendipity.

Manual mode: you take control. You set your own criteria: age, distance, interests, and only profiles that match will appear. This is the mode for those who know exactly what they're looking for.

Both modes coexist. You can switch between them whenever you want, depending on your mood.

A refreshed look for boosted profiles

Profiles that are featured in the app have a new design. More refined, more consistent with Purple's visual identity.

This isn't a functional change, boosted profiles already worked as intended. But the app improves in features and visually over time.

What this changes day to day

We thought about the girl who opens the app in the morning, spins the wheel, and starts her day with a few extra diamonds. The one who doesn't want an algorithm deciding for her and prefers to fine-tune what she sees herself. The one who, on the contrary, trusts Adèle to bring her some surprises.

Every detail has a reason. And we keep improving the app. 💜
